Similarly to Fort Kochi beach, I was shocked and disgusted at the amount of litter here. Avoid. Neither the beach nor the water is clean enough to consider going anywhere near.
Clearly needs many, many more bins for public use, fines for those dropping litter and a regular street/beach cleaning system immediately.
This beach is a very well maintained pleasant beach with amazing sunrise view. Great for a long walk alongside Fort kochi. Peppered with local markets, fresh fish shops, this is the quintessential Indian beach family experience.
To note this beach is not something with a coastline, so you cannot walk on the sand but you do have a raised walkway which let's you enjoy the sound of waves and various views.
Don't miss the ferry experience to Vypin Beach to experience a beautiful sunset and do eat at Seagull and Fort Kochi hotel.
I think Ganghi would be saddened by the sight of this beach bearing his name. He would probably wanted a refund.
Very dirty, trash everywhere, disgusting smell. Sooo many annoying vendors on both sides of walkway trying to sell you useless stuff. Cannot even walk to the shore, swimming or even walking in the sea is absolutely not an option. Not only it is existential to avoid stepping into heaps of trash, it is also banned here. Wonder why. No point visiting.
Very beautiful place..but beach is not there only view point os there
The beach is not clean and you can barely sit on sand. But it had the most beautiful sunset that I had ever experienced. It was surreal and beautiful.
The beach has a beautiful view and good for spending an evening.
Pros
1. Good location
2. Great view with ships
3. Adequate food and other shops
4. Parking available in parade ground
5. Good vibes
Cons
1. Lack of cleanliness with waste seen in beach area
2. Avoid chaat shops as the quality of food us very bad. Moreover they are overpriced
3. Crowded on sundays
Best part of this place is Sunset. It's the most happening place during the evenings. Lots of local eateries and ferries passing by with lights. You can easily spend an hour or two.
The bad part is it's not that clean.
Overall a good place to visit if you are in Kochi.
Best place to hangout with family and friends
